Surprise “Annual” Meeting at 6pm this Wednesday, Dec. 7

Today (Mon., Dec. 5), LOCSD General Manager Guy Savage sent an email announcing an “annual” meeting to take place this Wednesday evening, Dec. 7th: https://www.losolivoscsd.com/2022-12-07-special-state-of-the-district-grange-hall (The “annual” part is funny because there’s never been such a meeting in the LOCSD’s past. “Inaugural” might be a better descriptor.)
The information in the PowerPoint presentation posted today is interesting and very difficult to square with the actions actually taken by the LOCSD Board Members over the course of the last 18 months. Guy’s report is not an annual report. In many ways and places, it is a statement of newly asserted “facts.”

Special - State of the District - Grange Hall
The State of the District annual meeting is hosted by the General Manager. It is not a meeting of the Board of Directors for the District. Instead, it is an opportunity for the General Manager to recap the prior 12 months, talk about where the District is headed, and answer questions.
